We serve different age groups

Our aim is to provide an early learning environment focused on relationships between children, parents and teachers. Our common goal being; quality care and education for the development and overall well-being of every child. This results in social development and learning through exploration and play.

our curriculum

We offer full time and part time care. Our programs are planned with the developmental stages of each age group in mind. Our program plans incorporate the Elect Curriculum and are designed based on the interest of the children through observation and documentation.

Each classroom is set up with play based learning in mind. All of our learning centres offer art, sensory, music, dramatic play & emergent activities that provide opportunities for fun filled learning in all stages of development.

Great Beginnings offers a full time Junior and Senior Kindergarten program. We provide planned curriculum and activities that support early learning. Our curriculum is focused on play-based learning which capitalizes on children’s curiosity and exuberance. We have added the enrichment program, teaching basic French and Spanish. Our program has proven to give children a strong start for grade 1.

We provide: Report Cards followed up with scheduled Parent Teacher Interviews, JK/SK Graduation Ceremony, Classroom/Individual Photos, Family Appreciation Fun Fair, Family Christmas Concert, and Seasonal Events for the whole family.

Why we are more than a daycare

Great Beginnings Child Care Centre offers exciting and balanced programs, with the key emphasis being to encourage your child’s early development in a Christian setting. We believe that every child was created by God with a purpose and potential. We promote Christian values and beliefs.

Value of Play

Our role is to provide a rich variety of materials and adequate space so that children have opportunities for play which promotes growth in all areas.

Arts & Crafts

Creative art is a chance for children to express themselves, experiment with ideas, refine motor skills and feel a sense of independence. The art centre has a variety multi-cultural materials of different sizes, shapes, textures and colors for the children to use.

Cognitive Learning

Children learn to master new skills such as eye-hand coordination, turn taking, social skills, and other cognitive abilities while engaging in play in our learning centres.

Sensory Table

Children learn about the world around them through their senses. The children explore various mediums such as water, playdoh, while incorporating skills like pouring, mixing and measuring. There are plenty of opportunities for exploration and discovery at this centre on a daily basis.

Gross Motor

We take pride in having a full size indoor gymnasium and 2 outdoor playgrounds providing opportunities to enhance motors skills.

Nutrition

We offer a nutritious, well balanced lunch and 2 snacks daily. In addition to modern and complete kitchen facilities, Great Beginnings Child Care Centre also employs a certified food handler (cook) , who works diligently to provide delicious hot meals and nutritious snacks for the children in our designated lunch-rooms.

We offer a nutritious, well balanced lunch and 2 snacks daily as required by the Childcare and Early Years Act. Our menus are also seasonal.
